During the early 90's I served as a Commissioner on the City of Richfield's Planning Commission.  As in most cities the Planning Commission is responsible for addressing zoning and related issues for the city.  By far the most controversial project we tackled was the "Shops at Lyndale" development; casting votes that evict individuals from their homes and businesses is never an easy (and nor should it be) ask.

Currently, I am serving as a Hearing Examiner for the city having been re-appointed for a forth term.
